The system architect role is a principal systems engineering role to perform design and development work for fuel cell systems and products. The candidate designs and develops fuel cell systems, using a multidisciplinary approach – this will involve broad engineering expertise, including mechanical, electrical, systems and controls engineering. The candidate supports component level, sub-system and system level sourcing and testing for performance, reliability and durability. Examples of tests are: fuel cell stacks, humidifiers, blowers, pumps, motors and sensors.
Position Responsibilities
Leads architecture team and manages work.
Carries out requirement derivation and allocations.
Provides general technical feedback on the design and development of mechanical and electrical sub-systems.
Analyses test data.
Works with upper management on business case analysis.
Generates technical reports and presentations.
Delivers presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
Completes specification and integration documents and guidelines.
Carries out other related activities and projects.
Position Requirements
Bachelor degree in related engineering discipline
10+ years’ experience in a systems engineering position (or similar)
Structured problem solving skills (8D, 5-Whys)
Leadership experience
Strong design, analytical, and troubleshooting capabilities
Outstanding technical report writing skills
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Detail-oriented
Efficient time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
