About the Manager of Strategic Communications role
The City of Whitehorse is looking for high performing applicants for the Manager of Strategic Communications. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Management team.

In this permanent full time role, you will manage, direct and evaluate the Communications department, as well as oversee marketing campaigns and media relations. Your role will also be instrumental in implementing internal and external communication strategies for the City.

About the ideal candidate
Your degree in Communications or Journalism and eight years of progressive experience in a communications environment will help you lead and supervise this essential department.  Your skills toolbox will demonstrate you have the following expertise:

Leadership and supervisory
Team building
Organizational, prioritizing, and multitasking
Liaising with many stakeholder groups, internal and external
Excellent written and oral communication
