You’ve got (at least) a dozen sports websites bookmarked as Favorites and are also a dedicated and passionate Fantasy Sports team manager of several different franchises involving multiple sports that is seamlessly conducted entirely via the internet.
How will you spend your day?
Follow every sport, analyze and update game matchups and previews on a daily basis
Generate intriguing story angles, identify streaks and use databases and social media to find interesting trends
Under the guidance of the Assignment Desk/Editor-in-Chief utilize these results to contribute unique and exclusive copy to articles for major sports websites
Additionally, you will:
Specialize in sports you may currently be unfamiliar with
Learn and understand odds, sports wagering and the industry that supports it
Occasional weekend and evening work as the sports schedule dictates
What Qualification do I need?
University degree or diploma in journalism
Previous sports journalism experience is an asset.
Strong attention to detail as it relates to grammar, punctuation and headline writing
