Software Engineer
PanGeo Subsea is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our development team in the St. John’s, Newfoundland office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to PanGeo products. The candidate will be expected to work in a multidisciplinary environment, supporting both engineering and geosciences, and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment. The candidate will be expected to engage in field-testing and occasionally participate in offshore operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 8 years experience, or 5 years experience in conjunction with Masters in Computer Science or closely related discipline
experience developing real-time data acquisition systems
experience developing in Linux for both desktop and embedded applications
excellent design standards and strong troubleshooting skills
demonstrated technical skills along with a proven track record for success
strong written and oral communications skills
must be able to work independently, as well as effectively within a team environment
high degree of organization
ability to prioritize development tasks according to business goals
experience with the following are considered assets:
acoustics and signal processing
motor control systems
subsea and marine navigation solutions
GPU programming for scientific applications
image processing
