Job Description

IMP Solutions is looking for a well-rounded, technically capable Software Developer. The successful candidate will work with a small team on a number of interesting Aerospace projects.

IMP Solutions is the business technology division of IMP Group. We provide insight, solutions and support that enable customers to solve business problems and create business opportunities. IMP Solutions offers Competitive Salary & Benefits packages.

The successful candidate will be a part of the Aerospace Development and Support team, and be responsible for designing, developing, validating and maintaining software systems.  Current development includes a large amount of Java and the Google Web Toolkit (GWT) as well as some .NET and PHP; however, we are looking someone who is comfortable adapting to a variety of environments and roles (including design, coding, testing and business requirement analysis).

The Software Developer will work as part of small team to produce key new features in support of the Canadian CH149 Cormorant Search and Rescue Helicopters and other fleets of aircraft. The Software Developer will work with a small team using agile development methodologies to continue the tremendous track record of producing successful software. The Software Developer will have access to key project stakeholders and leverage a suite of issue tracking, development, build and testing tools.

Job Qualifications

University degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience in Test, Tools, Software Design/Integration roles.
Experience with Hibernate/Guice/MySQL/Java/GWT highly valuable, but not essential.
Strong technical background; able to dissect product changes and target testing   appropriately.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Excellent English verbal and written communications skills.
