DETAILS

The Green Party of Canada is hiring a social media manager to develop and execute a sophisticated social media strategy. This will involve monitoring, posting, and moderating discussion on social media. The social media strategist will primarily be responsible for understanding and applying social media analytics to improve the GPC social media performance. This position will also be part of the visuals team.

REQUIREMENTS

As a social media specialist you have experience with social media management across media platforms. You have experience interpreting social media analytics. Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud is an asset. Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment, and to meet tight deadlines. Video and photography experience an asset. Political experience unnecessary but considered an asset. Graphic design experience is desired.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will lead a small team responsible for monitoring and developing social media content. You will be expected to develop and implement an effective social media strategy. Core responsibilities include:

Develop and implement social media strategy
Identify, create, prepare and schedule content
Curate content
Ensure coordination with all other relevant teams within the organization
Moderating discussions
Drive Traffic
Understand and employ social media analytics
Develop relationships with platform representatives to facilitate education and strategy development
Work with Purchasing Coordination to develop Internet marketing strategy
