Site Manager – WGC (Wood Group – Cahill GT547) – St. John’s

Wood Group PSN – Cahill (WGC) has been awarded the contract for the Facility Integration (Hook-up and Commissioning) for the Hebron Topsides Project.  WGC is a partnership comprised of Wood Group PSN Canada Inc. and GJ Cahill & Company Limited.  This scope includes all module interconnections including piping, structural, electrical, instrument, telecoms and mechanical.  WGC has a requirement for: Site Manager

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Manager will be the single point of contact for main interfaces and will be responsible for:

Adherence to Company Safety Standards and promote safety culture
Oversee the day-to-day construction management of the project
Manage the construction and commissioning efforts
Monitor and report to HUC Construction Manager project details, including progress, risks and opportunities in a timely manner
Ensure that work is executed and controlled by working in a planned and systematic manner to formal documented procedures
Ensure compliance to contractual and regulatory requirements of all products or services under management of WG-C or their approved subcontractor(s)
Monitor construction productivity, schedule performance and investigate reasons for less than target performance. Provide recommendations and implement measures for improvement by modification to operating procedures / work instructions.
Participation and execution of Safety Leadership training
Ensure that all activities are executed with all due consideration to the safety of personnel, the equipment and the environment

The successful candidate should possess the following capabilities/experience:

Minimum 15+ years Site Management or equivalent Leadership experience with a hands-on approach, in the Oil and Gas Industry.
Hook up & commissioning, topsides integration, and offsite fabrication experience required.
Experience working in a unionized environment.
BSc. in Engineering or equivalent experience in offshore construction.

Engineers must be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador.

This is a project based position working in the St. John’s Project Office and transitioning to the Bull Arm Site.
