Major Responsibilities / Duties:

• Installation and support of the physical and logical network infrastructure.
• Audit and upkeep of Network security technologies (IDS, Firewall and VPN’s).
• IT System – Planning, recommendations, design & engineering, implementation, troubleshooting and ongoing support.
• Be available on rotation for 24/7 on-call support.

Qualifications / Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of VMWare vSphere & vCenter 5.x and of TCP/IP Stack.
• Strong knowledge of internetworking designs and their applications, to include IP subnetting and complex routing techniques (OSPF, VPLS, VLAN, MPLS, VRRP) on Lan/Wan and wireless Networks.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 3 to 7 technologies Routers, Firewalls and Load-Balancers with protocols such as HTTP, SMTP, DNS, SSL, SIP.
• Custom IPSEC and SSL VPN administration.
• Familiarity with Brocade, Fortigate and Juniper technologies, with open source technologies based on Linux customization (ELK, Zenoss, OSSEC, APACHE, NGINX), with IT Security Standards as applied to networks and  with a wide range of Microsoft based systems including SQL, IIS and Active-Directory.
• Good understanding of full IT Development cycles and passionate about IT, Strong work-ethic and a Can-Do Attitude.
• Strong history of continued self-improvement driven by a deep interest in IT related topics and strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to comprehend highly complex or technical information and well communicated opinions about best practice implementations and security requirements.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and facilitate communications, be imaginative and constructive.
• Strong ability to provide guidance to junior level staff, must be able to and enjoy cross-training on other products.
• Ability to identify and implement process improvement on systems and workflows.
• Will be required to work on paid support for a week at a time on a rotation basis.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience required
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within his/her environment
• Previous experience using the computer for senior functions
• University degree in computer science or other related
