ii Who we are looking for:

ResMed Halifax (formerly Umbian Inc.) is seeking Quality Analysts to join our team. The successful candidate must have previous experience in a QA role at a software company with a keen understanding of the QA process, will have strong organization, communication and judgment skills, and must be willing to improve quality through a balance of hard work and commitment to process improvement.

The Analyst will have hands-on responsibilities in all aspects of quality planning, measurement and analysis, and will become an expert on the functionality of all ResMed Healthcare Informatics applications.

iii Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Assist with identifying and documenting test conditions
Assist with test planning, analysis, and design activities
Perform or assist in performing test analysis and design
Identify and prepare technical test data
Execute testing cycle activities as defined in test plan
Identify, log, and follow-up on all defects encountered
Participate in production deployment verification
Perform additional system testing-related activities, as assigned
Communicate progress of testing activities to the Team Lead/Product Manager
Participate in lessons learned reviews
Participate in pertinent team training and knowledge transfer activities
Maintain and communicate a solid understanding of software testing best practices, methodologies and terminology

iv Qualifications and Experience

Minimum of two year certificate, or equivalent experience, in the area of computer sciences or logistics.
1 to 3 years of experience working in a QA role for a software company.
Excellent knowledge of QA test methodologies and practices.
Good understanding of the overall software development process.
Experience testing web-based solutions.
Strong analytical, problem solving and judgment skills.
Self-motivated, pro-active, dynamic team player with a positive attitude.
Experience designing and performing Stress and Performance testing.
