Within EY’s IT Advisory practice, we are currently seeking a senior staff to participate in and supervise multiple client engagement teams and other related activities.
This professional will serve as a fieldwork leader of our Advisory services based out of the Halifax area. While the majority of work would be in NS, some travel to the US and other Atlantic Provinces may be required.
The successful candidates’ main responsibility is to provide leadership to the taskforce to ensure timely completion of all activities and deliverables during the various stages of multi-discipline projects. Specifically, qualified candidates should possess experience, knowledge and skills that allow them to execute on the following responsibilities:
To qualify for this challenging and rewarding opportunity, candidates must have:
A university degree is preferred but an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
4 or more years of recent experience as a Project Manager;
At least 6 years of IM/IT, or business process design experience;
PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent would be considered an asset;
Very strong verbal and written communication skills including presentations;
Written and spoken competency in French would be considered an asset;
Knowledge of Project Management best practices (PMI); and
Strong customer service-focus with the proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members, stakeholders and management.
Desired qualifications:
Experience with project timeline, resource planning and monitoring;
Experience with budget planning and monitoring;
Experience developing project communications strategies and plans;
Experience with organizational change management and change management strategies;
Verbal and written communication skills in both English and French would be an asset;
Experience with MS Project or other scheduling tools;
Plans and schedules project deliverables, goals, and milestones. Manages and delivers projects on budget, time and schedule;
Designs and maintain technical and project documentation;
Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills; and
Willingness to travel if required.
Candidates must be available to travel within and outside of Canada and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
