Programmer I, Arts – District of Saanich – Victoria, BC

Regular Full Time Position

The District of Saanich seeks a creative individual who will be responsible for developing, planning, implementing and evaluating a wide variety of Arts and Ceramics programs, including studio operations, interpretive programs for exhibitions, and special events. Direct programming of these specific program areas will also involve developing and implementing a marketing plan and preparing and maintaining a budget. The Programmer I – Arts may also liaise with community arts groups and other off-site programs.

This position is based in the Arts Centre at Cedar Hill Recreation Centre and will provide leadership and direction to the arts centre staff.  The Programmer I – Arts will be responsible for the recruitment, orientation, training and supervision of technical and instructional staff and volunteers.

Requirements include a College Diploma in visual arts, arts education or a related field with minimum two years experience in arts programming in a community setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience; a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s Licence and satisfactory police information check.
