Meco is currently recruiting for an Office & IT Administrator. The primary focus of this position is to professionally manage the administrative function of the organization and provide value to the IT function. The challenge of this position is being able to manage multiple, and often shifting, priorities. This position works under minimal supervision. This position must be available Monday thru Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm. Overtime is normally not required but may be based on operational need and when overtime is required it will most likely be unscheduled and is a condition of employment. Travel is a job requirement for the purposes of picking up office supplies, catering, etc. Specific areas of responsibility include:
Administration including typing/ creating/ updating/ editing/ proofing/ and/or revising proposals, project profiles, reports, records, databases and other documents
Document Control
Project Document Coordination
Data Entry
Tracking and delegating technical issues and needs and/or troubleshooting basic technical issues
The successful applicant will have a post-secondary diploma in office administration / business; a concentration in Software and Information Management would be an asset but is not required. Technical knowledge and demonstrated experience with document control, word processing, MS Office, SharePoint, Publisher, and Adobe Acrobat is required. Technical knowledge and demonstrated experience with Replicon, MS Project and Simply Accounting would be an asset but is not required. The successful candidate will have: the ability to work under pressure yet remain detail oriented and organized; excellent customer service, active listening and communication skills; analytical and logical thinking skills and the ability to problem-solve; the ability to manage time efficiently; be self-motivated, a fast learner and able to work independently; and, be able to prioritize and be flexible to tasks.
