The RDKB is hiring a permanent, full time Network Infrastructure Analyst (NIA). The NIA will be a critical member of the RDKB Information Services team and will be responsible for managing all elements of RDKB digital infrastructure, including maintenance and design of switching, storage, hypervisor hosts, servers, security, IP telephony and backup infrastructure.

The successful candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a minimum 2 year Computer Information Systems technical diploma plus 4 years of industrial experience. Experience in local government is an asset, as are industry certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, Checkpoint and VMWare. The NIA must have strong change control awareness and documentation skills and be able to manage large volumes of highly detailed technical tasks in a timely manner. RDKB Information Services is a small department in a mid sized organization, so all team members must be comfortable with a wide variety of technical tasks.

This is a permanent, full time CUPE 2254 bargaining unit position that offers a salary of $39.42/hour plus a competitive benefits package. Duties are mostly focussed at the Trail Headquarters building, but will involve some travel around our beautiful district as necessary, therefore a valid BC drivers license is required.
