Toronto Public Library (TPL) is the world’s largest and busiest urban public library system. There were over 18 million visits to TPL’s 100 branches and 30 million visits to the virtual branch in 2015. TPL is embarking on a new and exciting Strategic Plan with goals of Expanding Access, Increasing Opportunity and Building Connections to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
The Manager, Information Management and CRM leads development and support for TPL’s information management systems, business intelligence tools, and operational data integration needs. This role will enable TPL to extract essential business value from sources of customer, collection and program data. Design and develop an analytical data warehouse / data hub / data integration environment creating reporting and analytical capabilities to key business stakeholders; enable TPL’s business strategy through aggressive, innovative and cost-effective information management and CRM solutions; and develop and maintain the framework to manage and improve processes intended to consolidate information from across channels, customer services and shared services. Responsibilities of this position include oversight of the architecture, design, development, integration, deployment and production support of information management systems, related data integration applications and CRM systems.
First year objectives include:
Develop relationship within the organization required to support the development of new processes and policies surrounding an Information Management function.
Identify and implement quick wins around Information Management & CRM functions and develop a long term road map for building a robust function.
Support implementation of a new room booking system, CRM Platform, analysis on future of TPL.ca discovery layer system and Business Intelligence and Analytics platforms.
Qualifications and requirements include:
University degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
Extensive experience in information management and process redesign or related business discipline.
Demonstrated experience in leading major components of an organizational transformation initiative and strong organizational change management skills.
Experience leading Information Management and CRM projects emphasizing Enterprise Architecture, Business Process Transformation and IT Systems Implementation.
Experience designing and delivering innovative solutions from concept through implementation in a complex environment.
Led teams to envision and prioritize requirements, creating application implementation road maps and providing technology and architecture recommendations.
