About the Manager, Business & Technology Systems role
The City of Whitehorse is looking for high performing applicants for the Manager of Business & Technology Systems department. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Management team.

In this permanent full time role, you will provide vision and leadership in planning, developing and implementing Information Technology (IT) strategies that ensure the City provides effective and efficient services to citizens.

About the ideal candidate
Your Master’s degree in a related field and eight years of progressively responsible information technology systems experience, with a minimum of four years in a supervisor capacity, will help you lead this essential department that impacts the organization as a whole.  Having Project Management or ITIL certification would be considered a valuable asset for this position.  Your skills toolbox will demonstrate you have the following expertise:

Considerable knowledge of all functional area of business processes and computer systems
Proven leadership and supervisory skills, able to set and achieve goals for the organization and your team
Communication and problem solving
Excellent written and oral communication to develop and present reports
Valid Class 5 driver’s license or ability to get
