Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our IT team.  Reporting to the IT Coordinator, the IT Technician will have an interest in all things IT and will not be afraid to work with a wide variety of systems and technologies.

Main Duties will include but are not limited to:

Maintenance and operational support of the Town’s IT infrastructure including servers (physical and virtual) desktop and laptop PCs, networking equipment, telephone systems, sound systems, video and access control security systems, and other associated equipment as well as databases and a wide variety of software packages
Provides user support and responds to questions and inquires on various hardware and software issues
Plans, tests and installs computer hardware and software applications
Maintains, updates and resolves issues relating to overall system performance and security

Qualifications:

Diploma in Computer Technology
Post-Secondary courses relating to computer network maintenance
Computer hardware and software management
Possession of a Certified IT professional certificate

Experience:

Two (1 – 2) years of experience maintaining computer equipment including network systems
Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Great Plains & Active Networks Class
Some accounting experience is an asset

Municipal or government experience will be considered an asset
