Integrated Informatics Inc. (www.integrated-informatics.com) is an established GIS and Spatial Data Management consulting company servicing the Energy and Natural Resource sectors. We are currently seeking applications for the position of Senior Consultant in our Calgary, Alberta office. The successful candidate will work alongside the senior consultants of Integrated Informatics in a mixture of consultative, and workflow automation projects. General Requirements
Applicants should have a minimum of Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Geography, GIS, or related field.
Experience and knowledge matters! Our projects have a high level of challenge and innovation and require expertise and knowledge that comes from experience.
Candidates should have at least 5 years’ experience but 8+ years is preferred.
Experience should be mostly in the Energy or Natural Resource sectors.
Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills, and must be able to handle conflicting priorities.
Solid understanding of spatial reference systems is an absolute must. Real-world experience in the realm of survey, geodesy, or geomatics is an asset.
Applicant should have a working knowledge of basic spatial analysis techniques and be familiar with the use of Relational and Spatial databases in a GIS.
Should be a quick study; strong problem solving (creativity counts!) and data management skills are required for this position.
Candidates should have the ability to work in a team environment and as an individual.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work in the distributed development team of Integrated Informatics on a mixture of spatial data management and systems implementation projects.
The core activity for this job is development of desktop and web-based enterprise level data management and workflow solutions.
The applicant should have experience with the ESRI suite of applications, experience with the ESRI geoprocessing framework (Model Builder and Python) is highly desirable.
Experience with open source spatial solutions will be seriously considered.
Certifications are good but proven experience with .NET (VB.NET C#, and ASP), JavaScript, Python, and ArcObjects is much better.
In-depth experience with ArcGIS Server and web-services (not just mapping services) are a must have.
Proven experience in good UI (desktop and web) development is strongly desirable.
Experience with other languages and architectures considered a strong asset.
Exposure to systems administration and experience with hardware setup and configuration a really strong plus.
