The preferred candidate will have experience in a local government setting in B.C. with a demonstrated proficiency as CAO â€Â direct experience in an interim role is an asset. An exceptional communicator, you will collaborate with Mayor and Council and municipal staff. Your knowledge will encompass the Local Government Act, the Community Charter as well as related financial and administrative practices.

Duties will include assisting with the selection of a permanent CAO, reviewing and updating the current strategic plan with Mayor and Council, collaborating with the Council Personnel Committee, temporarily overseeing the overall operations of this progressive organization and providing professional management practices and leadership to a dedicated staff.
