Bulletproof Solutions, Atlantic Canada’s Trusted Information Technology Company, seeks a highly energetic and team oriented individual for the position of Instructional Designer specializing in Storyline, Articulate Presenter and Captivate.
The duties and responsibilities of the Instructional Designer include, but are not limited to the following:
Conduct and participate in virtual customer meetings to understand their requirements with relation to e-learning solutions or services (needs analysis and requirements gathering)
Work directly with Subject Matter Experts to gather content and requirements
Create design documents and/or storyboards for custom eLearning solutions which satisfy the identified business needs of customers
Provide learning design consultation and leadership, project management, and customer support
Develop learning solutions for customers using various course authoring tools
Participate in project meetings with clients – project kickoff, review sessions, sign-off, follow-up, etc.
Proactively identify and propose improvements to the work environment, with particular emphasis on productivity, quality, execution, and team member growth
The ideal candidate possesses the following abilities, skills, and experience:
Background in teaching, instructional design, and adult learning theory
Experienced in a courseware development environment
Creativity and vision is a MUST along with the ability to translate that vision into solid and instructionally sound eLearning solutions
Self-motivated, and able to work independently
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Professional manner with strong interpersonal skills; a team player and relationship builder
Familiar with virtual conferencing and meeting applications; ability and experience working and conducting business in a virtual environment
Proven track record for achieving deadlines and a strong commitment to excellence
Excellent project management, time management and organizational skills, and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
The following technologies are applicable:
Experienced with common courseware authoring applications include Storyline, Authorware, Articulate, and Captivate.
Knowledge of LMS or LCMS platforms
Familiar with courseware integration (audio, media)
Experience designing Macromedia Flash interactions and animations is an asset
Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
Candidates should have:
Bachelors in Education or similar combination of education/equivalent experience.
College program in web media development or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years work experience as an Instructional Designer.
Media development experience is a definite asset.
