The Strathcona Regional District is seeking an Information Technology Manager with a combination of strategic visioning and tactical capabilities. As a member of the leadership team you will be guided by the Regional District’s core values of teamwork, respect, integrity, effectiveness and accountability. You are a strong and capable communicator with proven strengths in explaining technology concepts and vision within a business context to a diverse audience of peers and Board members.
As a manager, you will be responsible for building and delivering a technology vision aligned with the District’s organizational goals. You are an effective leader with proven experience and success in the transformation of technology services. Using your project management skills and capabilities you will be responsible for delivering the vision and measuring the outcomes and benefits.
Qualifications for this position include 7-10 years experience managing IT in a small/medium local government or public sector environment; or a broad background in a large/enterprise IT organization with experience in developing and implementing best practice IT service management and IT service delivery processes including a post-secondary degree in Information Technology or related Management/Technology discipline. Technology certifications or designations such as PMP, ITIL, CoBIT, ISACA or other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
