You will be on a team of Java/JavaScript developers who are working on the next generation of user interfaces for the Genesys suite of products. You will work closely with our teams to help specify and build new functionality within our suite of products. Ideally, you will have an understanding of how both the front and back ends connect and work together, and can prove your designs in a sandbox environment.

Responsibilities:
Work on the next generation of administrative tools for Genesys suite of products that are deployed in the Cloud and on-premise with a Java backend, and JavaScript front end.
Assist with the architecture, technical design and will assist with the development of the key interfaces / components of the system.
Work with the UX team and other stakeholders to deliver a world class user experience to the real world customers.
Requirements:
A background in Computer Science / Engineering
2 or more years’ experience working with pure JavaScript (scopes, closures, -inheritance, etc.)
1 or more years working with Java in a development capacity
Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as: jQuery, Backbone.js, D3, SlickGrid, etc.
Advanced understanding of modern web development fundamentals (HTML5, CSS3, etc.)
Ability to manually craft HTML and CSS; and solve complex layout issues
Excellent knowledge of object-oriented concepts and design
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong team player who enjoys collaborating with others
Quick learner with interest in new and emerging technologies
Solid understanding of the full web technology stack (e.g. HTTP, cookies, headers, asset loading / caching)
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of Angular JS and RESTful development experience
Experience in a TDD test environment
