Job Opening Details

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Engineering Department heads, Electrical Designers are primarily responsible for general design and drafting of electrical systems within the manufacturing industry. This includes general engineering drawings/document updates and participation in project meetings. With the evolution of automation, they must possess a working knowledge of automation components (PLCs, motor controls and VFDs).They enjoy a dynamic working environment and have the ability to work effectively with people. They also possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Qualifications

Successful completion of an Electrical Technologist/Technician diploma program or Electrical Engineering Degree
Minimum 2 – 3 years automation experience, including the selection of automation components (PLCs, motor controls and VFDs) and commissioning systems.
Membership with TechNova or Engineers Nova Scotia is preferable
Working knowledge of AutoCAD
Must be self-motivated and possess good self-discipline.
Ability to work independently
Respectful oral communication skills
The ability to manage multiple projects
