Development Coordinator – Indigenous Climate Action

Position Summary
The role of the Development Coordinator (DC) is to work with the Director of Development to support the administration and operationalization of ICA’s donor engagement strategies.
The DC will provide critical administrative capacity to nurture donor relationships and manage grant deadlines. The DC will work with the Indigenous Climate Action team to produce donor education materials along with grant applications and reports to build understanding and appreciation for the importance of resourcing Indigenous leadership in climate action. This is incredibly important work for the storytelling that ICA does and is integral to building long term allyship with donors.
This person will be responsible for building and maintaining ICA’s small donor CRM and the Foundation database. They will also support developing communication materials to be used for strategic donor engagement, working closely with the ICA team to ensure relevance, clarity and alignment with ICA’s values.

Duties
work closely with the Director of Development to ensure administrative support for donor engagement, grant deadlines and development strategies
create and maintain administrative processes to ensure effective coordination between ICA Team and Funders
support administration of planned giving and crowdfunding methods
work with ICA’s program team to write grant proposals and reports for funders
develop donor education materials for crowdfunding and other forms of donor engagement
support with volunteer engagement
attend meetings with ICA team as necessary

Qualifications and Requirements
passionate about the mission, values, and goals of ICA
proven skills with administrative and coordination support with teams
great at organizing emails, setting priorities, and creating timelines for responses
skilled with typing and maintaining digital filing
excellent knowledge of Google Suite Tools, including by not limited to managing google docs, google sheets and google calendar
outstanding organizational and time management skills
familiarity or willingness to learn ICA’s office software and communication applications (e.g. e-calendars, slack, zoom, and monday.com)
excellent verbal and written communications skills

COMPENSATION:
$55,000 – $60,000. This is a full-time, 30 hour a week position with benefits related to a year-long contract, with the possibility of extension.
