MyHEAT provides innovative solutions to help make our world more energy efficient. We are looking for a Data Privacy & Security Analyst to join our team who can help us improve, implement, and maintain our privacy & security policies.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with data security best-practices and have some experience securing cloud hosted infrastructure. As a member of our team you would draft new policy, maintain compliance with data governance regulations, audit existing infrastructure, and advise the business and product development groups.
Key technical skills include a working knowledge of one of the large IaaS providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.), familiarity with network administration, experience creating network & data security policies, and the ability to understand and implement external data governance policies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or another relevant field.
Experience managing on-site & cloud infrastructure.
Practical knowledge of data protection & privacy practices.
Computer security certification and/or equivalent experience.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of relevant work experience in data privacy & security.
CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CIPP, or related certification.
One of the AWS certifications.
Experience creating internal data & network security policies.
Experience implementing external data governance policies.
Exposure to managing large volumes of geospatial data.
Responsibilities
Dynamically assess and manage security risks.
Create and maintain internal security policies.
Manage external data governance compliance.
Secure and monitor cloud based assets.
Provide guidance and support to other groups related to privacy and security.
