Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Communications Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating the City’s Communications Plan and strategies.  The successful candidate will have a certificate or diploma program in communications supplemented by at least 2 years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience plus thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques relating to communications work relevant to municipalities. The regular hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 4:30 with some flexibility in the work schedule required for attendance at community and other events.

Experience in graphic design, web design, desktop publishing and photography is desired.
