Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and as a member of the executive team, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will have the opportunity to define and implement Clearly’s technology strategy and create a future that leads to the successful execution of the corporate vision. The CTO will influence the planning, prioritization and overall strategic direction of the company. They will be deeply engaged across the business, taking the time to understand what drives the brand, marketing, operations, logistics and financial goals. They will ensure the company is forward thinking in core technical competencies such as the scale and quality of the customer experience. As the technology leader, the CTO will lead a strong team of professionals, supporting their creativity, innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit to develop an industry-leading customer experience.
The ideal candidate has over 10 years’ experience and a track record of success as a technology executive in an entrepreneurial, high growth, multijurisdictional, B2C, ecommerce organization with a commitment to innovation and customer experience. Instinctively understands how to support a customer-centric, online, complex product retailer that is driving exponential growth. A university degree in computer science, math or engineering is required and an advanced degree in one of these fields is a plus.
This is a full time, permanent position with an expected base salary in the $200,000 – $250,000 range, plus an annual bonus and an executive benefits package including: health and welfare benefits which include medical, dental, extended health and life insurance.
