Chapter Engagement Specialist – B.C. Chapter

We are looking for a dynamic, highly self-motivated professional to drive the grassroots development of the B.C. Chapter of the Canada Green Building Council. Some of the key responsibilities of the Chapter
Engagement Specialist are:
Chapter Coordination – coordinate Chapter programs and perform the day-to-day operational activities of the Chapter;
Communications and Member Relations – support the implementation of marketing and communications initiatives including: membership expansion; communication with members, and stakeholders; and, website updates;
Programs and Service Delivery – promote and deliver regional programs and events that advance green building; represent the Chapter at programs and events related to green building, infrastructure development, energy conservation and sustainable design and technology; solicit event and program sponsorship in alignment with the nationwide framework;
Leadership and Volunteer Engagement and Support – organize and coordinate Chapter volunteer meetings and events; provide regular reporting on operations, achievements, finances and special initiatives as well as regional factors affecting the green building community; develop and engage the volunteer network through initiatives and activities.

If you have a University degree in a related field and at least five years of progressive work experience in a similar or related sector organization; have a demonstrated knowledge of the green building industry including LEED; excellent communication skills and comfort in motivating, leading and affecting change you may find the career you are looking for with the Canada Green Building Council.
