The CCTV Pipeline Inspection Technician is responsible for the CCTV inspection of municipal underground infrastructure, including sanitary sewer and storm drainage systems, and operating a state of the art CCTV inspection vehicle. The incumbent will be responsible for the inspection of existing as well as new pipeline construction. You will be able to observe and code defects by utilizing PACP certified software. Technical work will include conducting investigations, inspections, analysis of data, designs, specifications, drawings and preparation of inspection reports.

If you have the following knowledge, skills and abilities we encourage you to apply:

Certification by the National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) and a minimum of 5 years of related experience;
Hold or be able to obtain a Class III in either Water Distribution or Sewer Collection as per the B.C. Certification Program for Operators;
Sound knowledge of the procedures used to conduct video inspections of underground infrastructure;
Sound knowledge of municipal engineering, construction and maintenance operations;
Computer literate with in-depth working knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office and CCTV data collection software;
Sound knowledge of national, provincial and municipal laws, bylaws, codes and regulations governing municipal engineering works;
Must be in possession of a valid B.C. Driver’s Licence; and,
Able to qualify for and maintain the required security clearance for the position. Failure on the part of the employee to satisfy this requirement will necessitate the removal of the employee from the position.
