Legend Recreation Software is the leading solution provider in its market. We are a generous employer with some 80-staff based in the UK and Canada. Due to growth and a sustained increase in the number of tender opportunities we are looking to recruit a bid specialist.

The successful applicant will assist us in the production of professionally written submissions for formal tenders. Legend works on major software and IT infrastructure projects in the public sector in the UK and Canada with contract values typically ranging from $1 million to $10 Million.

The role will offer a good degree of freedom to develop content whilst also being able to access experienced personnel in the business. It is expected to be a fulfilling role. With Legend’s high success rate there is a strong likelihood that a bids submission will result in contract award. Here is a list of key duties;

Maintain a database of standard responses and documents to PQQs and RFPs
Work with the wider team to develop and re-work existing responses
Liaise with the tenderer on clarifications or notices posted
Ensure bids are completed accurately and on time and submitted per tenderer’s instructions
Provide guidance to colleagues on site visits and presentations based on communication with the tenderer
Develop a good understanding of our solution specification and processes.

The ideal candidate has the following skills and experience;
Educated to a Degree Level or have a professional writing background
Writing / bid management experience with strong written English language skills
Advanced MS Word skills and proficient with MS Office tools
The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines during tenders
Communicate and influence at senior levels
Ability to work on an individual basis as well as part of a team
We are flexible on working hours and location although being based in our York offices or regularly able to attend our offices is important.
