We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual for the full-time,
benefited position of  Aquatic Programmer at the
Creston & District Community Complex!

The Aquatic Programmer is a member of the Leadership Team at the CDCC and is responsible for planning, organizing and maintaining a diverse selection of aquatic recreation programs, training, activities and events for Creston and District. The Aquatic Programmer must possess a high level of creativity and innovation in order to create fun, exciting and educational programming that meets the needs of the community while working within budgetary and operational realities. Additionally, the Aquatic Programmer oversees the Aquatic Team and is responsible to provide the aquatic leadership staff with support and guidance to ensure a workplace environment that is oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort.

Required Experience, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Include:

Diploma in Recreation Administration or an acceptable equivalent combination of training and experience.
Minimum three (3) years experience in recreation programming.
Specific experience in aquatic programming for pre-school, youth, adults, seniors, aquatic fitness and special events.
Minimum two (2) years experience in supervisory role.
Current Certifications in First Aid, Pool Operator 1, NL, LSI and WSI
Demonstrated success developing, organizing and implementing a variety of programs and activities.
Current knowledge of provincial legislation and health and safety as it relates to aquatic programming and aquatic center operations.
Strong dedication to health and safety in the workplace.

The successful candidate must be available to work a varied work schedule which includes day, weekend, and/or evening shifts.
