Algorithm Designer / Image Segmentation Programmer – QuikFlo Technologies – Calgary, AB

Education:

Post-graduate degree in computer science, biomedical engineering, physics, or mathematics

Experience:

5 years or more experience with developing and implementation image segmentation algorithms

Job Duties:

Develop and evaluate automated high-level segmentation methods for extraction of anatomical structures from CT, MR, US, and PET datasets using  level-set, fast marching methods, adaptive ROI growing, graph-based segmentation approaches and other approaches;  automated segmentation of blood vessels from either contrast enhanced CT or MR images; develop software conforming to DICOM standard; Develop software conforming to industry standard of documentation, testing/debugging and version control; Develop code that integrates with code from other programmers in the team; time management skills to meet set deadlines without delay; inter-personal and communication skills to contribute co-operatively to group software development; technical skills to solve problems independently and efficiently; flexibility in work days/hours to meet deadlines

xperience in automated high-level segmentation methods for extraction of anatomical structures from CT, MR, US, and PET datasets;  experience in level-set, fast marching methods, adaptive ROI growing, and graph-based segmentation approaches;  experience in automated segmentation of blood vessels from either contrast enhanced CT or MR images; track record of successful implementation of advanced image segmentation techniques listed above as demonstrated by publications, patents or products; has developed software conforming to DICOM standard; has developed software conforming to industry standard of documentation, testing/debugging and version control; has developed code that integrates with code from other programmers in the team; exhibit time management skills to meet set deadlines without delay; exhibit inter-personal and communication skills to contribute co-operatively to group software development; exhibit technical skills to solve problems independently and efficiently; flexibility in work days/hours to meet deadlines
