The Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 invites applications for the position of Water and Sewer Assistant – Summer Intern. The successful candidate will report to the Water and Sewer Supervisor and will assist with the maintenance, repair, and operation of water and sewer systems within the Municipality.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in testing valves and gates; inspecting pumps, engines, electric motors, and performing routine maintenance work.
Maintain log books and record meter readings.
Offer support with the regular collection of water samples, which is required to perform routine laboratory testing and analysis.
Participate in the flushing and cleaning of water and sewer lines.
Repair and maintain assigned equipment.
Assist in the maintenance of Municipal facilities.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
A minimum of one (1) year related studies in Water & Wastewater.
Returning as a full time student for the 2016/2017 school term.
Knowledge of lagoon and lift station operations & maintenance an asset.
Good interpersonal skills.
Class 5 driver’s license.
