School Program Manager – Ecosource – Ontario

Responsibilities:
Oversee program activities focused on waste reduction in elementary schools in Peel Region.
Coordinate school booking requests for predominantly in-school workshops and virtual when/if necessary.
Provide training and leadership to a team of 3-4 environmental educators.
Coordinate a professional development program for teachers in collaboration with York University.
Support the planning and implementation of a youth conference in partnership with local schools, conservation authorities and community groups.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with program funders and stakeholders.
Monitor, track, evaluate and report on program outcomes, supporting materials and budget.
Work collaboratively with Ecosource’s leadership team to develop programs, manage partnerships, fundraise, build organizational capacity, set strategic goals, and evaluate our impact.
Assist with other Ecosource programs as required and represent the core values of Ecosource.

Qualifications:
A university degree in environmental studies, community development or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
Demonstrated skills related to project management and cultivating partner relationships.
Extensive knowledge of environmental education and climate issues,
Experience in reporting, grant writing, budgeting, and program evaluation.
Excellent communications skills, both oral and written, and comfort in working in diverse settings with a variety of audiences, from volunteer events with youth to formal presentations to key stakeholders.
Creative approach to problem solving and strong ability to multitask.
Demonstrated commitment to social justice and anti-oppression principles and an understanding of environmental justice and its connection to climate issues.

Application Information:
This is a full-time position of 35 hours a week. Starting salary is $56,000-$60,000 per year commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position includes access to a comprehensive benefits package, 10
personal days per year, 15 days of paid vacation per year to start, and17 statutory and non-statutory holidays, including flexible paid holidays to promote an inclusive workplace.
