Hourly wage: $12.50/hr.
Position Type: Temporary, Part-time – June to September 2015 (5-12 hrs. /wk.)
Reports to: Manager, Community Sustainability Programs
Summary:
EnviroCentre is an Ottawa-based, non-profit organization that helps residents, businesses and organizations conserve energy and reduce their impact on the environment, while saving money. We are looking for a personable candidate with some retail or public service experience who will work from our storefront location and engage with clients about our products as well as sharing information about EnviroCentre’s programs and services.
Job Duties:
This position will provide the Boutique retail sales clerk with the opportunity to:
Act as an ambassador for EnviroCentre with clients through our retail store
Engage with residents about sustainability and EnviroCentre’s unique programs and services
Gain customer service and product presentation skills
Responsibilities will include:
Greeting and serving clients.
Selling products through our Point of Sale System.
Processing payments for other services not sold through the boutique directly.
Accepting electronic waste from customers which may involve moderate to heavy assisted lifting such as larger, older televisions.
Representing EnviroCentre, and the boutique specifically, at community events, as needed.
Accepting and passing along customer feedback.
Light cleaning duties in and outside of the boutique.
