Retail Associate
Urban Harvest is looking for three people to work in our Pop-Up Shop. The shop is open 6 days a week in April and 7 days a week in May and June. This position is suited to people with previous retail experience with very good customer service, an aptitude for math, and willing to work 9 hour days. It is a short term position, but perfect for someone with other plans for the rest of the summer. Close to a subway stop. The successful applicants will be spending their days with seeds and plants and all of our offerings are organic. A good knowledge of gardening is essential.

Responsibilities
Working to complete daily shop tasks
Daily communication with coworkers
Helping to maintain an organized and safe workspace
Stocking the plant shelves as well as the seed shelves.
Answering lots of customers’ questions.

Requirements
Retail experience especially in a plant setting.
Ability to do physical work. Unloading plants from the daily deliveries from our greenhouse.
Ability to work in all weather conditions .
Good communication skills
Extremely organized and attentive to detail
Excitement about organic, heirloom seeds!
Term: April – End of June. An ideal candidate would be able to begin April 1st.
Hours: 5 days/week , 40 -45 hours per week. Availabilty for weekend shift s essential but can be negotiated with other staff.
