Pitt Meadows is in the midst of exciting new change with the recent development of an independent parks and recreation service. We are seeking a Recreation Program Assistant to provide assistance with planning, scheduling, implementing and leading a variety of social, cultural, sport, fitness, and general interest activities in our community. This position is responsible for and/or provides assistance in planning and implementing recreation programs for all ages, including children and youth. The successful applicant may provide guidance and leadership to volunteers and program leaders and is responsible for the safe and proper use of equipment and facilities.

The successful candidate will have completed a two year program in recreation at a recognized post-secondary institution and have sound related community experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. You must be willing to work various shifts, Monday through Sunday, 5:45am – 10:15pm as scheduled.

This is a CUPE position with a pay rate of $22.61 per hour (+ % in lieu).
