Receptionist / Administrative Assistant – District of Central Saanich – Saanichton, BC

The District of Central Saanich, a community of approximately 16,000 residents located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island 15 kilometers from the City of Victoria, is seeking an experienced Temporary Receptionist/ Administrative Assistant on a full time basis for a term ending December 31, 2015.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Corporate Officer, you will:

Provide reception support for all departments at the Municipal Hall
Respond to public enquiries
Receive and distribute daily incoming mail
Provide general administrative support for the Administration Department including routine correspondence and filing
Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

Grade 12 education plus clerical and secretarial training with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Comprehensive knowledge and proficiency of computer applications including Microsoft Office
A good knowledge of the operation of local governments or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Typing speed of not less than 65 wpm

The hourly rate of $21.06 is offered, plus 13% in lieu of benefits.
