THE POSITION

The Project Assistant has the responsibility for providing excellent administrative support to Production teams as outlined in the duties and responsibilities section below.  Administrative support should be provided consistent with company processes, standards, and timelines to ensure that team and company goals are met.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Preparing, editing, formatting and proofreading of all project related documents for production teams
Editing and formatting of large specification documents (300 plus pages)
Sorting, organizing, and filing of team documents within the document management system
Regular maintenance of all current and archived projects
Providing backup reception relief

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 2-3 years progressive work experience in an Administrative role, with experience of Administration in an Engineering/Consulting Engineering environment preferred
College education is an asset
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam
Team player who takes initiative to ensure that goals are met
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, grammar, spelling, etc.
Ability to produce quality documents quickly and to company standards using templates and possess an accurate typing speed of 50+ wpm
Proven ability to handle a variety of administrative tasks with conflicting deadlines
Excellent telephone manner
