Program Coordinator – EcoSchools Canada – Toronto

Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the development and implementation of the EcoSchools program for schools and school boards/districts across Canada. The Program Coordinator collaborates with the EcoSchools team to ensure the effective development and delivery of certification assessments, workshops, webinars, resources, and support services to our network of boards/districts, schools, and local partners.

Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Programs Team in the development and implementation of all aspects of the EcoSchools certification program
Develop program resources including toolkits, lesson plans, and worksheets
Provide direct support to schools and school boards/districts through strong relationship management and frequent communication
Help with the development, coordination, and delivery of conferences, events, workshops, and webinars
Administer and support updates to, and maintenance of, the EcoSchools Certification Application
Coordinate the assessment and final verification of EcoSchools certification applications
Develop outreach materials such as monthly newsletter bulletins
Support program evaluation processes, data collection, and reporting
Support the development and implementation of special projects
Work closely with the Programs Team and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of professional experience (i.e., program development, project coordination/administration)
Successful completion of a postsecondary degree in education, environmental studies/sciences or related field, or equivalent experience.
Excellent public speaking, facilitation, relationship management, customer service, and communications skills
Experience developing learning materials and resources (i.e., toolkits, lesson plans, worksheets, workshops, webinars, etc.)
Outstanding organizational, research, evaluation, and report writing skills
Proficiency with Google App Suite (i.e., Email, Drive, Sheets, Slides, etc.) and other online tools and software (i.e., Zoom, Slack, MailChimp, SurveyMonkey).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet tight deadlines
Resourcefulness, initiative, positivity, and flexibility

Assets
Experience or familiarity with the EcoSchools program
Fluency in French (oral and/or written)
Knowledge of the Canadian education system
Experience working within the nonprofit sector
Experience or training in the area of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) and/or experience working with Indigenous communities
