We are hiring Personal Support Workers (PSWs), and Recreational Therapists students (RTs), Social Worker students (SW) or Nurses students (RN or RPN) are encouraged to apply.
You will be specially trained in supporting people with dementia with the Alzheimer Society of Brant, Haldimand Norfolk, Hamilton Halton (ASBHNHH).

Requirements:
Must have an interest or experience in gardening, farming, and/or outdoor activities.
Willing and able to physically navigate uneven farm terrain
Must be comfortable around farm animals, and participate in outdoor program activities alongside participants. These activities include harvesting, weeding, and lifting/using gardening and farming equipment (e.g. shoveling, hoeing, pushing a wheelbarrow).

Additional responsibilities include:
Guiding participants with dementia through outdoor-based programs.
Supporting and promoting sensory and nature-based engagement.
Redirecting participants to other farm activities as needed.
Promoting participant well-being in the context of farm environment.
Maintaining program property and space.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: Every Tuesday 9am to 2pm, 5hrs per week
Starting Pay Rate: $19/hr
Experience:
Healthcare Occupations: 1 year (preferred)
