Passionate about Permaculture? Work with us! Our vision at P3 is to make permaculture more accessible. To help make this happen, we are seeking a new Teaching Assistant. The candidate will assist the role of the primary Permaculture Design teacher in all of his functions.

Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

Setting up the classroom
Making sure all materials are available and ready prior to a class
Compiling students’ homework as directed by the teacher
Setting up a reward system for students who want to push themselves
Take attendance
Apply disciplinary measures for students who miss too many classes
Coordinate make up classes
Regularly update the student section on the P3 website
Be in charge of the social management of the groups
Set up and direct in-class social activities
May be required to travel with the class (locally and internationally, and can apply for travel cost reimbursement via LOJIQ)

Required Qualifications

Experience working with groups/students
Excellent people skills
Understanding of group dynamics
Excellent organizational skills

Work Conditions

Wage: $12 per hour

Hours per week: 10h (part-time)

Start date: September 2015
