Experience
in organic agriculture or market gardening is an asset. Completion of secondary school required. Drivers license is an asset. Workplace language options: English, Français, Español. Employee is responsible for housing and transportation to work, can be local or relocate for the job.
Candidates who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply: (a) is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment; (b) is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*; and (c) is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations. *International students are not eligible. Desired Skill Set:
passion for growing organic veggies, demonstrated ability to work quickly while maintaining quality and safety outdoors, capable of working on the ground, bending, heavy lifting and generally performing physically demanding repetitive tasks in all weather conditions, strong teamwork and communication skills, good organizational skills, judgment and flexibility, driving experience.

Duties

to be performed by hand or using machinery to assist efficiency: Field preparation for planting; Seeding, greenhouse work, and transplanting; Weed, pest and disease control; Irrigation system use and maintenance; Harvesting; Washing and Packing; Field, Buildings, and Farm general maintenance.
