Marketing Coordinator – Cooperative for Ecological Proximity Agriculture

Responsibilities
Bio Winter premises
Logistics:
In consultation with the Logistics Committee, finalize the allocations to producers, the contents of the baskets and validate the prices;
Adjust forecasts of basket contents based on customer response;
Ensure the supply from member producers according to the planned schedule and by making the necessary adjustments according to the availability of products and the number of baskets each week;
Recruit suppliers of complementary products according to customer demand, according to fair procedures and in line with the values ​​of CAPÉ;
Ensure the management and development of delivery points;
Recruit, train and ensure good continuous communication with the managers of the delivery points and the volunteers;
Coordinate volunteers at drop-off points;
Organize routes and schedule of deliveries;
Organize orders and deliveries of products on the online store, if applicable;
Coordinate monitoring of prices and quality standards of the competition.

Communications with stakeholders
Be the pivot and the driving force between the producers’ vision and the project itself;
Monitor the respect of the attributions by the producers;
Ensure telephone availability for volunteers and staff during delivery periods to resolve logistical or customer service issues;
Communicate periodically to producers on the status of the project;
Liaise with the APMQ and negotiate the space rental agreement;
Organize a volunteer thank you event at the end of the season.
Administration and management
Validate the purchase order and the invoice from the producers;
Ensure the budget monitoring of the project;
Develop and improve IT tools (Excel in particular).
Human ressources
Determination of HR needs and recruitment;
Train, support and supervise the work of the employees under his charge: clerk, manager, delivery people, etc.
Ensure the dissemination of information within the Winter Bio Locals team;
Hold short weekly meetings to take stock of the project.
Angus Market
Ensure the strategic and operational planning of the market;
Ensure the recruitment of exhibitors (producers, traders and artisans) and volunteers;
Regulate the administrative and legal aspects necessary for the proper functioning of the markets: MAPAQ license, liquor control, fire service, insurance, etc. (supported by management);
Ensure the monitoring and financial management of rental spaces on the market with exhibitors;
Support the design and implementation of communication strategies ensuring traffic and good market visibility (with the support of a communication officer);
Operate the assembly and logistics of the market with the support of a committed employee and volunteers;
Ensure that exhibitors respect the equipment and maintain the truck during the market season.

Skills and experience sought
Hold a university degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education, professional training and experience;
At least two years relevant work experience;
Have experience in project management;
Have experience in human resources management;
Excellent sense of organization, spirit of initiative, thoroughness and resourcefulness; • Autonomy, versatility, good work structure, logical mind;
Good ability to manage multiple priorities;
Very good interpersonal skills and sense of negotiation;
Good listening skills; • Demonstrated leadership skills;
Excellent oral and written communication skills in French;
Have an interest in ecological local agriculture;
Have an excellent knowledge of Excel;
Knowledge of other Office tools and the Google Drive suite
Assets
Be familiar with social networks and other communication tools;
Good physical shape, ability to lift loads and work in various weather conditions (heat, rain, etc.);
Have a forklift license;
Possess a valid class 5 driver’s license in Quebec.

Working conditions
Hours from Monday to Friday generally from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from November to May during the winter Bio Locaux period. The Angus market requires work on Friday evenings from the end of May to the end of October;
Between 30 and 40 hours per week depending on the workload;
The person occupying this position may be called upon to work occasionally on weekends, during events;
The workplace is located on the island of Montreal;
Start as soon as possible;
