The Village of Keremeos, has an opportunity for a person with the right skills, qualifications and abilities to fill the position of Legislative/Planning Clerk. The incumbent provides support services for Council; provides general land use planning information to the public; processes development and subdivision applications; ensures the records management system is maintained according to Local Government standards; and provides support to CAO and other staff as needed.
The successful candidate will have a Grade 12 education and a minimum of 4 years local government experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the planning and development aspects of local government. The successful applicant must have a thorough knowledge of computer software programs including MAIS, Outlook, Word, GIS and Excel; and the ability to exercise courtesy, tact and diplomacy when dealing with staff and the public.
This is a permanent full-time CUPE position with wages and benefits pursuant to the Village’s collective agreement. The 2014 wage rate for this position is $26.13 per hour.
