Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of the food market and cafe, including overseeing inventory, ordering, and scheduling
Provide exceptional customer service and support to our customers, including responding to inquiries and addressing any concerns or issues
Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability of the market and cafe
Develop and maintain relationships with local vendors and suppliers to ensure that we are providing high-quality, local, and sustainably sourced products to our customers
Hire, train, and manage a team of staff members to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency
Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are being met and maintained
Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to increase visibility and awareness of the market and cafe
Monitor and manage expenses to ensure that we are operating within budget
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a management role in the food industry
Strong environmental and social values
Excellent customer service and people skills
Proven track record in managing a team and providing exceptional customer service
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
A valid food handler and smart serve certificate.
