The City of Campbell River is looking for a Horticulturist I to work part time within our Parks Department. As the successful candidate you will contribute to the successful day-to-day maintenance and beautification of the City’s gardens, boulevards, green spaces, and trees.

Success in this role requires:
a Horticulture Technician Certificate;
a Class 5 Drivers License;
a current Pesticide Applicators Certificate;
a minimum of three (3) months practical horticulture experience;
and a minimum of three (3) months in the maintenance and the application of pesticides, and the ability to plant, transplant, fertilize, irrigate, cultivate, mulch, week, and prune trees, shrubs, and plants.
The current hourly rate of pay for this CUPE bargaining unit position is $26.84 working 40 hours per week between 7:00am and 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, eight (8) months per year (March through October),
