The Project
Managers will work together with our Facility Manager to oversee the construction of several up-and-coming projects at The Raptors as well as to contribute with hands on construction and maintenance work. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing a small team, planning out daily tasks, creating timelines for completion, ordering supplies, and much more. This is a physically demanding position and includes being outside in all weather conditions at all times of the year. This position would be based out of our visitor centre in Duncan, BC,

An ideal candidate would have:
Some post-secondary education, ideally in a science-related field
Adaptability to a variety of work and tasks
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to manage a team.
Excellent communication and organization skills
Passion for and experience with animals, especially birds
Passion for conservation and the environment
A valid BC drivers license and reliable transportation
Excellent physical fitness, and the ability to lift/move heavy loads (>50lbs)
Carpentry or cabinetry experience
Experience with the use of power tools, and basic grounds-keeping machinery
Experience with landscaping or other property maintenance
An exceptional candidate would also possess:

First aid skills
This is a full-time position, with the possibility of continuation into a permanent full-time position after the work term is over. Wages start at $18-22/hr depending on experience. This is a contract, funded position for an applicant under thirty years of age, and qualified applicants must have a diploma or degree in a science field.
