GIS-Database Technician – South Nation River Conservation Authority

POSITION DETAILS:
The incumbent will work in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Responsibilities are to assist in the development and maintenance of spatial data and associated databases, metadata, and information products. This position reports to the Director, Organization Effectiveness.

WHAT YOU OFFER:
Post-secondary education in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Computer Studies, or related discipline.
Experience with SQL and Enterprise Geodatabases.
Experience with computer applications, especially ESRI desktop suite (ArcGIS 10.x, ArcGIS Pro, Spatial & 3D Analyst), ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Online, MS Access, MS-Excel, and SharePoint.
Experience with code/scriptwriting, such as C#, Python, JavaScript, JSON, and HTML, is an asset.
Knowledge of ESRI’s Collector and Survey123 for mobile field data collection is an asset.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with floodplain mapping and natural hazard mapping is an asset.
Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
Valid Class “G” Driver’s License.

The SNC office is in a rural location in Finch, Ontario, southeast of Ottawa. The successful candidate must have reliable transportation.
