Fundraising and Administrative Assistant – The Rivershed Society of BC

This position
will work closely with the Executive Director to meet fundraising goals and ensure the smooth operation of the organization.
The Rivershed Society of BC is a non-profit dedicated to using Watershed CPR (Connect. Protect. Restore.) to transform the Fraser into a resilient watershed, with people, salmon, and economies flourishing in rivershed communities.

Primary duties and responsibilities
Provide confidential and professional administrative support to the Executive Director.
Assist with writing high-quality grant applications and reports.
Connect with partner organizations and organize meetings.
Assist with fundraising efforts, including calling potential donors.
Coordinate Team meetings and take minutes
Ensure key organizational documents are kept up to date.
Organize and maintain document database/file system.
Maintain organization’s contact database

Skills and experience
Our ideal candidate is organized, professional, and attentive, with strong communication and writing skills. Knowledge of the Fraser Watershed would be an asset. The position is remote, requiring the candidate to have excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines while working independently.
Some of the duties of this position will be consistent whereas others will be dynamic. The ideal candidate should have the ability to transition between tasks throughout the day managing various duties, producing accurate work and meeting deadlines.
Candidates must be able to work in a collaborative online setting from a home office and have access to a computer, phone and high-speed internet. Experience working with Microsoft 365 Suite and Customer Relationship Management software would also be an asset.
