An exciting opportunity is currently available within our Fire & Emergency Services Department for an experienced and energetic individual to provide reception and clerical support to the department. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding and directing phone calls; greeting and directing walk in traffic; preparing and maintaining a variety of records as they relate to the Fire & Emergency Services Department; and providing clerical support for the department. The time stated position is expected start June 1, 2015 and will conclude in August 2016 and has starting annual salary of $42,451.68 (based on 2011 rates).

The ideal applicant will have:

Strong organizational, customer service and communications skills
Standard courses in general office skills
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a clerical support role; preferably within a fire department
Intermediate to expert knowledge in Microsoft Office products
Experience in FDM (Flexible Data Management) software or other records management systems is as asset
